Roadmap

Customers define the roadmap

Our approach to product development is to give customers a voice. You submit a suggestion, everyone upvotes what matters to them, and we work on features in order of votes. No hidden priorities, no roadmap written in a room you weren’t in.

How it works

  1. 01

    Submit a suggestion

Anyone using RDP Engine, free tier included, can post what they need and describe the problem behind it.

  2. 02

    Upvote what matters

Every suggestion is public and every vote counts the same, whether it comes from a solo developer or a managed-service team.

  3. 03

    We build in vote order

The top of the board is what we are working on next. When something ships, it moves to Shipped and the next item comes up.

  • SSH jump hosts and bastion chains

Reach a private server through a bastion without opening a separate tunnel first.

    In progress
  • Shared team connection library

One library a team can point at, with folder structure and per-user credentials.

    Next up
  • SSH key manager

Hold private keys in the app with passphrase unlock, instead of a path per connection.

    Next up
  • VNC and Telnet as connection types

Two more protocols in the same sidebar, for appliances and older kit.

    Under consideration
  • Two-pane transfer with local browser

Local and remote side by side, so a copy is a drag inside the app.

    Under consideration
  • Variables in saved commands

Prompt for a service name or path when a saved command runs.

    Under consideration
  • Paste a URL to configure a connection

Type, host, port, TLS and start folder detected from a pasted connection string.

    Shipped

Voting requires a free account. Nothing on this board ships in v1.4.0.
